Winter Park

My quest to ski all the major Colorado resorts in my first two years out here brought me to Winter Park this past weekend. It was pretty cool. They have a large bald mountain for one of the peaks that reminds me a bit of Utah. There were some fun bump runs and the drive out there was pretty. It was a bit crowded though because it was the first weekend in a while with no snow and sunny skies.

Me at the top. I don't like the way my glasses look with my helmet. And I'm noticing an odd trend to blue mountaineering gear. Weird. My old trend was to red and black.

Another day at Breckenridge

Hi again, this was on 11/27 at Breck. I went with Hal, and Steve, and Corinna. Corinna works with me and Steve is her boyfriend. Hal is one of their friends. It's really cool that they all went to UVA and Steve and Hal are Phi Delts. It has been great meeting them because they really took me in. I love Southerners.

Here's Corinna aka Corinne

Skiing at Breckenridge

I think Breck is my new favorite place to go skiing. I mean I like Vail and all, but Breck is just easier to get to. I went back in November with John Jost and two new guys who were pretty cool. D was the skier and Dustin was the snowboarder...stupid knuckle-draggers...jk.

Anyway, we had a perfect day out there.
